Because Ted Carlson has spent most of his career as an independent contractor working in various industries, it should come as no surprise that his latest venture—as a certified fraud examiner specializing in regulatory compliance—would seek to protect the independent contractor model.

“After working for a state workers’ compensation auditor’s office, I started my LLC and defended small business during their audits,” Ted says. “Later, I realized no one in the private sector had created a tool to ensure regulatory reporting compliance anywhere in America for independent contractors. Generally accepted accounting principles don’t address any compliance reporting programs for workers’ compensation or unemployment insurance.”
